The Studentensiedlung lies in the middle of a large park in the western part of Freiburg. It contains 18 houses and more than 1,200 students, and is like its own self-contained small town. Downtown Freiburg and the University are only ten minutes away by bicycle or Straßenbahn. Flückinger Lake, tennis courts, and a student government that organizes many activities are only a few of the attractions that the Studentsiedlung offers. All rooms are equipped with connections for computers, internet access, and access for satellite television. Residents can live in groups with a shared kitchen and living room, also with appartments and rooms.
